We get a lot of Pokemon art submitted to us. It makes sense, after all. It's a popular series dedicated strictly to creatures and critters! There are over 700 Pokemon already and who know what's still to come in future games. There are countless groups out there dedicated solely to Pokemon and they grow rapidly. Even groups dedicated to just one or two Pokemon tend to get huge galleries and memberships. Needlesstosay, there's a lot of Pokemon out there in the wild.
Even when judging with quality in mind, there is so much fantastic Pokemon art that we could easily be overrun by them and still maintain our group's level of standards. Sadly, this means we've had to deny a lot of Pokemon submissions lately and many may be wondering why. It was an oversight on our part to have not let members know of this and we apologize to those who were denied and confused as to why.
Thus, we would like to let current and future members know that Pokemon submissions are judged far more critically. This is to make sure that the ratio of Pokemon art versus all other games are kept fair and balanced. We have no doubt that there will still be plenty of Pokemon art to make it into the group, but we do hope to curb the influx and prevent the Menagerie from becoming a veritable Safari Zone. (Pokemon reference, hee)
This rule has been added to our list of rules permanently so that future members and artists know what to expect when submitting Pokemon art.
Thank you for your understanding and keep up the great work!

A Quick Update
We have begun a small clean-up of the galleries! Here are some of the changes that are forthcoming.
- Sorting through the backlog of added works that have been sitting in the "Submissions" folder and moving them to their appropriate exhibits
- Doing a brief run through of each gallery to make sure our quality standards are still being maintained.
- Considering the option of added a new folder in order to lessen the amount of works that end up in "Groups."
- Combing through expired submissions and either adding them to "Favourites" or re-requesting them to be submitted to the main gallery if they meet quality and theme standards.
As a
We're Still Active!
Due to medical issues and other real life things, the group experienced about a year-long hiatus. In that time, we surely missed out on many great submissions. However, we would like for everyone to know that the group is active once again and accepting artwork.
Thank you for understanding.
One Year Anniversary!
On May 28th, 2014, this group opened the gates with a simple goal: to collect the best art depicting creatures of the video game world. An oddly specific goal, true, but one we were dedicated towards fulfilling.
It's been a year since we began and all I can say is "Wow!"
Our gallery has grown by leaps and bounds. We've so many awesome works filling our digital halls. What started out as a little petting zoo has exploded into a full-blown safari spanning countless worlds.
More importantly, we've got a great collection of talented and dedicated members that feature their works here. We'd be nothing without you guys and those who house their
Group Updates!
* We have a new folder! Botanical Garden is a place for all the flora-based critters. Deku scrubs, Goombas, Malboros, Piranah plants and a whole slew of Pokemon are only the beginning of what will find here. We welcome all submissions and suggestions to be added to this new collection!
* Now that the group has grown to a considerable size, we have done a bit of a clean-up. Many works have been moved to new folders for better organization and to reduce clutter.
* The submission limit for members has been changed from 3 per day to 5 per week. This is reflected in our updated rules listed above.
* Our Anthros folder is filling fast. Thus, we
