We get a lot of Pokemon art submitted to us. It makes sense, after all. It's a popular series dedicated strictly to creatures and critters! There are over 700 Pokemon already and who know what's still to come in future games. There are countless groups out there dedicated solely to Pokemon and they grow rapidly. Even groups dedicated to just one or two Pokemon tend to get huge galleries and memberships. Needlesstosay, there's a lot of Pokemon out there in the wild.

Even when judging with quality in mind, there is so much fantastic Pokemon art that we could easily be overrun by them and still maintain our group's level of standards. Sadly, this means we've had to deny a lot of Pokemon submissions lately and many may be wondering why. It was an oversight on our part to have not let members know of this and we apologize to those who were denied and confused as to why.

Thus, we would like to let current and future members know that Pokemon submissions are judged far more critically. This is to make sure that the ratio of Pokemon art versus all other games are kept fair and balanced. We have no doubt that there will still be plenty of Pokemon art to make it into the group, but we do hope to curb the influx and prevent the Menagerie from becoming a veritable Safari Zone. (Pokemon reference, hee)

This rule has been added to our list of rules permanently so that future members and artists know what to expect when submitting Pokemon art.

Thank you for your understanding and keep up the great work!
